Granasa celebrates its 30th birthday
Emerald Quartz and other new materials
Celebrating its 30th birthday as one of the most traditional companies in Brazil's Ornamental Stones segment, Granasa prepares to launch new types of materials sure to be the hit of the 25th Vitoria Stone Fair 2008, the biggest event in Brazil's Ornamental Stones sector, to be held from February 19 to 22, at Pavilhao de Carapina, Serra-ES.
Its know-how in ornamental stones quarrying and adequate logistical structure combined to an experienced team of professionals allow Granasa to offer diversified materials, coming from many Brazilian states such as Minas Gerais, Bahia, Paraiba and Espirito Santo. The research for new materials is another competitive factor responsible for keeping the company in the market throughout the years.
For exposure in Vitoria Stone Fair 2008, the company is preparing to release the Emerald Quartz material. With quarries in deposit, a good standardization, quality blocks, low fissure level and such extraction technique that allows bigger blocks, this material meets the demands of American and European Markets.
Today, Granasa holds a strong name especially at the Asian Countries and Europe, which is one of the biggest markets of granite blocks in the world. With the new materials, the company targets new markets such as the east of Europe. "Nowadays, Granasa has a strong name and is present at the main ornamental Stones world market. With the new releases due to 2008, Granasa ratifies its commitment to the consumer market by keeping itself updated and therefore, making available materials with colors and patterns that appeal to the most varied style and taste, be it to the most traditional market or even new frontiers", says Eder Nascimento, Granasas Commercial Manager.
The company is proud of being part of the ornamental stone history, marked mainly by the Giallo Veneziano granite. The high physical-mechanical standards of the Giallo Veneziano is also assured by the use of non-impacting or non-aggressive methods of block quarrying, using modern cold-cutting with diamond wire, coplanar adjacent drilling and expansive masses. The monthly production from the deposit situated at the northeast part of the Espirito Santo state, by the city of Nova Venecia, thus oscillates around 3,000 m3, in squared blocks sized approximately 3.0 x 2.2 x 1.7 m.
