Most expensive home in the world Updown Court, a newly built mansion for sale outside of London, offers plenty of lavish amenities: five swimming pools, an eight-limousine garage, and mosaic floor made of 24-karat gold leaf in the downstairs study. The property, however, is best known for its price tag: more than 70 million British pounds ($134 million).

To enter, cars drive through iron gates and past a gatehouse, where a security guard could be stationed. The heated, marble driveway leads to a porte-chochere over the entrance of the main house. (Note: the Rolls is not included).



For privacy's sake, the master bedroom is connected by a glass elevator to its own pool. Although indoors, it's flanked by a wall decorated with a two-story stone mosaic of Mount Fuji and palm trees.

Every one of the 22 bedrooms has its own marble bathroom each with a different design.

For fun, the house comes with its own two-lane bowling alley.Other indoor diversions include a squash court, poolroom, gym, and 50-seat cinema.
