molly hammond creates distinctive usable fine art for home decor
Molly Hammond of Tile Images will be featured in the March - April Addition of Midwest Living Magazine. Molly will also be exhibiting at the Indianapolis Home and Garden Show. Molly,an international artist working with porcelain and ceramics says, "along with answering questions I will be doing some demo painting in my booth. I will also be displaying some of my ideas and works in progress as well. -One of my current peices was requested for a new home in the Indianapolis area valued at $750,000 to add some warmth to the house that is on the market."
"It is a very unique service that I offer. It reflects the clients personality too because I am painting what they adore...transporting my clients thoughts and imagination to a visual piece. My clients have the additional satisfaction and enjoyment of the direct participation in the creative process . I take the talent God gave me to help another produce art that maybe they don't have the ability to do. So in essence I am the hands that produce the art that is in my clients minds. They not only have their own piece of original art that can never be duplicated but a usable piece that makes their house their home. All the client needs is an idea of a subject they want - I then can help them in the design process", says Molly Hammond.
"Molly is a truly inspirational artist, working intimately with her clients to meet their project parameters. She uses the ancient art of china painting to custom design and hand paint sinks, tiles and water closets", stated her publicist.
Painting on ceramic and porcelain results in permanent pieces of art that will last forever. China painting is an ancient art that involves multiple layers of special glaze that is applied to a piece of previously glazed porcelain or ceramic to form a visual design. After each layer is painted, the piece is fired in a kiln to make a permanent glaze. The tiles can be used anywhere tile is used: floors, pools, tubs, spas, showers, outside walls, backsplashes or fireplaces. The sinks and water closets are created in the same way and are usable.
All of Molly's work is hand painted and custom designed. No decals are used and no two pieces will ever be the same. The piece of art that is created, will be around far longer than the artist that created it, adding immeasurable value to her clients homes.
